Not sure of any group buys...the product has been out for a while. Probably the best part about the HTG deal, is that if his diff dies because of some workmanship issue or defect in the gearset, he is stand-up enough to make it right...he's just that kind of guy.

Could not say how long the diff has. The only thing I can think of that might happen is the diff completely seize...that would not be fun depending on the driving situation. Doubt that it would break an axle, but possible. I would be more concerned about the resulting spin if it happened at the wrong time.

Also, if you just had the suspension repaired (especially the rear), check to make sure the center hub nut is properly torqued and knotched. I just helped out another forum member who's repair shop had not done this after he'd jumped a curb...the nut was seriously backed off and the wheel bearing was squealing like crazy. Takes about 15min to fix. Note: the repair manual is wrong on the torque specs...should be 220 ft-lb on the center hub nut (believe it says 180). Honda corrected this on later model years.

UPDATE!!! I called the guy that I purchased the car from and the diff fluid was changed threw the dealership at 48k miles. Since there is a service history. What are my chances of getting the repairs in "in good faith"

I still wouldn't count on it. Diff fluid it's supposed to be changed every 30K under "normal" conditions, or every 15k under "severe" conditions.
