im about to replace mine this saturday. im at 50k miles should take me about 20 minutes to install since i have the s/c in the way. other than that ill take some pics

Def check the Idler Pulley.

I heard small screechy noises coming from under the hood for less than 10 miles omw home from school so I took it in the next day to the dealer. Turns out that when the mechanic took it out for a test drive the belt shredded because of a bad idler pulley. The noise was from the idler scorching the side of the block....

Better safe than sorry.

thanks for the info, I should check the service manual to see how one can identify a bad pulley before they cause damage. I've read a few reports of bad pulleys.

Doesn't the f20c and f22c have different belt diagrams?

no they are the same. I'm not sure about a CR with a/c delete though, it could be different.

WTF??? No........ lol. All pulleys are interchangeable between the two.

That's the idler. Note which part of the belt touches each pulley. The "inside" of the belt has grooves. That touches grooved pulleys and/or ones that have a "lip" on the edges to act as guides. The outside is smooth. That touches smooth pulleys. If a grooved pulley touches the smooth side of the belt, the belt will disintegrate very quickly. Find a different parts store.
