Which sensor is this? intake problem
Does anyone know what sensor this is? I just installed an intake and it was driving fine. Then I was changing out new hoses and that black piece broke off, now when I give it some gas it bogs/idles low then dies. Could that black piece that broke off be the reason why it keeps dying on me? please let me know. thank you!

my mistake, that looked like it but its not that. sorry!! It has two skinny vacuum lines that go to it, and has an electrical clip you can plug onto it. let me take a picture and post it

what your talking about wont make it bog. but looks like the angle of the intake tube is to hard. sounds funny but that can cause turbulence at the throttle body. in turn causing an erratic map reading thus bogging.

wow I never thought of that. I'll try and readjust and angle the tube better, thanks!

The solenoid itself routes clean air to the exhaust during cold start-up for emissions purposes, it doesn't operate once the car is up and running warm. The black top piece is merely a filter for the solenoid, just make sure it goes back on tight so it filters properly. It won't affect engine operation by itself so that is not your issue. But check all of the vacuum lines that go in and around that solenoid, if you have a loose vacuum line connection that will cause your issue, I'm willing to bet one of the vacuum lines has come loose, I zip tie all of mine.
