If you stay N/A and go stand alone ECU, can you do away with the air pump?

Ben, if you're talking about going w/ the AEM EMS, then yes, you can ditch the airpump. The AEM unit doesn't control it anyways, so it's just extra junk in your engine bay. I don't have a good pic, but you can just make a block off plate for your intake manifold and remove the pump and associated piping/hoses.

BTW, don't you have an extra one you could sell cheap

Billman, mine looks like that haha, not quite as melted. Thats why I am thinking it might be fixable. I am affraid of junk yard pieces because you can run into the same problem.

This is covered under the 8/80k emissions warranty?

You can use a plastic repair kit, plastic rods and a air heated gun.

it's tricky since you need to merry the right types of plastic together.

But i've seen plastic custom silo's built using this technique without issues.
