Secondary Air injection System P1416 Code HELP!
Hey guys, so yesterday I threw a check engine light and today i got it checked out at autozone. They said it was throwing a P1416 Code Secondary Air Injection System. Its also throwing the code two times they said. I know that it has to do with the Air pump, which i already removed and installed an Izzy Air Pump Simulator a few months ago, and havent thrown any codes since. I am really not sure why now all of a sudden this code is showing up.... I checked all the wires to see if any are loose, and all seem to be hooked in properly. So honestly I am at a loss... Any ideas of what it may be?

If it was successfully operating for a couple months, it's almost certainly a loose electrical connection. Specifically, P1416 can be caused by a loose/bad ground, but it's not the only possible cause. If you haven't done so already, solder all of your connections. Those red squeeze connectors are not intended to be a permanent solution; nothing beats a well soldered electrical connection.

I don't remember what the number was, but back when I was mostly stock I had an air injection code being thrown. Turns out one of the vacuum lines had come off when doing an oil change or something. The code went away after re-connecting it. So yeah, you might want to check for a disconnected vac line while you are looking around in there.

Thanks Caleb! I figured it out. I tightened up all the connectors and iced my ground to a better spot and it did the trick
