Default Seat options

Does anybody know of a way to lower the stock seats? It seems that all the "race" seats out there fit very ackwardly and if you want to use a roll bar -- good night.

What are our options? Do race seats with side mounts work in our cars? Also, it seems that the race seats are too upright.

Any ideas?

I've noticed that all the race seats are taller than the roll bars. Yuck!

Any seats that actually "fit"?

Cool.

Are they side mounts or bottom mounts?

If they're side, which mounts did you use?

Yellowstreak, don't tease us!
How low are you talking? Lowering seating height or is it just the backrest that is low? Did you use stock slider/mount?
Details please.

hrm, my seats with cheesy 3am do it yourself rails work fine for my 5'10" height. I know I can go lower with proper side mounts.

They are bottom mounts. I believe the actual vehicle-specific base is made by Wedge for Sparco. The seats are mounted to sliders which are mounted to the vehicle-specific base - it sits very low.
