Do you know what the code is? Is it blinking?
To answer your question, pull the "back up" fuse in the panel for 30 seconds or so, or just unplug the negative terminal on your battery for a little bit.

Check the Under the hood section. There should be a thread pertaining to CEL on the sticky.
As for resetting, you'd have to pull the back up fuse underneath the steering wheel, but before you "reset" the CEL light, have the code pulled at a local shop.

if you reset the CEL without first finding out what the problem is, then don't bother us when it comes back on again because you failed to fix the problem and instead chose to ignore it and just reset your ECU.
