I will tell you that the majority of these boards stray from Mobil 1 in their engines (not necessarily their diffs, trans, etc.), especially AP1's due to the overwhelming consensus that Mobil 1 is burning off too quickly, just as you've seen.

With that being said, I'm not dgoing to tell you which oil is best... because I don't want to get flamed

Amsoil is popular, castrol edge seems popular now, and penzoil platinum (all full syn of course).

And with THAT being said, I went with Penzoil Platinum 10w-30 full synthetic with an OEM filter - I'm loving the stuff. I don't burn ANY oil (yet, lol).
