Scraping brakes
Last night on my way home from work, I noticed a very loud scraping sound coming from my passenger side rear brake. So today I took it all apart and found that I was missing one of the bolts that holds the 2 parts of the caliper together. Obviously I need that bolt to put it all back together now. My question is do I have to get that bolt directly through Honda or could I match one at ACE Hardware or something? Also, the inside pad was scraping the inside of my rotor and I was wondering if it looked bad enough that it would not be reusable. You can see the pictures of the pad/rotor that got worn down a little bit. I just put pads/rotors on all 4 corners about 4k miles ago so I'm hoping once I get the bolt I can throw everything back together and be fine.

As long as you match up the bolt you are fine with aftermarket hardware in most places.
I needed some bolts to reinstall my prop-shaft and the dealer and online places wanted to order from the Honda warehouse so it would take five days and the cost was high. I found the exact bolts I needed at the local hardware store 50% cheaper. Works great.

Well I called a local Honda dealership and they told me they could have it by Wednesday. I went to ACE and found one that matched, put everything back together and it all seems good now. I just don't want any bolts to be falling out while I'm driving around, but I'll keep my fingers crossed.
