Can any of the old timers let us know how long they've lasted for?

My first one just didn't have enough umph after two years during a cold winter. The one I have now is doing just fine after two years. With the lower compression engine it kicks over much easier.

I find it helps to put the charger on it if not driven for a week or so.

I just bought one of the Braille batteries from Jegs.com

I think I paid $160 with shipping. Its a few pounds lighter than the Oddyssey and more cold cranking amps. I think it has around 400 CCA. The thing is small. 11.5 pounds.

They have them at Tire Rack too with carbon fiber bling jackets, but they costy $50 more.

Well, I don't think Odyssey batteries last as long 'cause they are not made to be used in cars.
I'm -still- using the same battery. Used it in my street car which became the race car and 1.5 years ago the same battery went into my new street car and it still works like a champ.

I bought a smaller hawker for the race car (PC545 IIRC)

so thats 6 years on the same battery. STFU those of you who said they don't last I should add tho that if I leave the car for more than a week it does need to be jumped. I just have a jump pack that I keep in my garage. After 15 minutes of driving the car is good to start on its own.

For the big ballers they now have

430/25 = 8.12 dollars per lb saved.
