Cold weather increases parasitic load on a cold engine/starter and reduces battery efficiency. A battery with half the regular CCA would be hard pressed to start an engine after a night of 20 degree weather, I think.

Ok I just measured the battery real quick. Its 8L by 5W by 9H.

I assume that you really can't go much bigger because of the batterie tie downs and all. Keeping in those restraints the PC925 6.7L, 7.1W, 5.1H. Would end up being to wide.

The PC680 is 7.3L, 3.2W, 6.7H. How the hell are you fitting these things in your car and holding them down! Or am I way off base.

Not sure what you're trying to say, Jim, but both PC680 and PC545 are much smaller than the stock battery.

Hi guy's I'm in Australia. I've just recently had the problem of having my original battery die on me after only 9 or so months.

The s2k does NOT get driven regulary. Only once every weekend, and sometimes can sit in the garage for 2 weeks without being started.

I've been looking for a better solution, ie. a batt that will last given this situation.

So I've been looking at Odyssey Batt's aswell. It's just that down here we have slightly different Odyssey Batteries available.

There are 2 that I've been looking at:

ES12v 650
max pulse: 650amps
cca: 245
reserve cap: 28min
capacity: 17ah
short circuit curent: 1800a

length: 183mm
width: 78mm
height: 187mm
weight: 6.6kg

and the

ES12v 800
max pulse current: 800
cca: 400
reserve cap: 53mins
capacity: 28ah

length: 167mm
width: 178mm
height: 143mm
weight: 11 kg

with the 800 it would have to be mounted on it's side to fit.

Which should I get? Any recommendations? Any advise?

please help,
Thankyou

wil..

You should be able to get a free battery from Honda under warranty, given that your car still is so new.
