Saved 13lbs for $140! (Odyssey Battery)

On Odyessy's site they say that the jacket is for heat resistance. Being that you are so close to the header I wouldn't want to risk it personally. Now if you wanted to mount the battery somewhere else like the trunk or under a seat the 625 might be perfect.

my friend raised an important question, for cars running higher compression or forced induction, the battery might not supply enough cold cranking amps to start. Not sure even though most of you are not having any problems with it, any of you guys running the comptech SC use one these batteries with below 300 CCA???

I see alot of model #'s and prices being thrown around on this battery issue. I am really interested. Can someone tell me which will be the best battery brand and model would be best for an S2000 with stock factory alarm and stock radio, i only have added performance mods like Intake and Exhaust.

I use the 680 on my M3 without issue. BUT there is no extra capacity to gloss over inadvertent things like leaving stuff on, or lengthy storage. They can safely be deep discharged so for storage you don't have to use a trickle charger or whatever. The 680 is also successfully used by some of the NSX folks. On the CCA thing, remember that there is a time factor. Briefly batteries can put out more than that amount.
