Does that estimate include all removal/installation labor as well? Seems a tad high.

I recently found out that the car was previously turboed and removed,I drove the car for a few days and it was driving fine after I bought it.., is it possible that the over revv can be the cause of the motor needing to be replaced or was it due to maybe the engine being previously turboed ?

More likely the overrev caused the issue, especially if the issue started right afterwards. I'm willing to bet the compression test would have been telling, mechanical overrev will slam the valves against the pistons and cause all sorts of fun. If it's AP1 you probably cracked some retainers too. How bad was the overrev? Misshift 3rd to 2nd seems to be the most popular one.
