S2k Vtec Solenoid questions...

In all my previous hondas the JDM Vtec solenoid is bigger and will "crack" harder then the USDM counterpart, is this true for S2000's as well? Also... In previous hondas opening up the vtec solenoid and removing the mesh filter allows more flow etc and thus more power, can same be done safely with s2k? I have never had a problem on previous motors (I've had B18C5 before and never once had problem with JDM vtec solenoid and the mesh removed..)

There is no HP to be gained by removing the screen. Oil pressure isn't transfered to the VTEC rockers any faster, nor is valve lift or duration changed by it.
This is the placebo effect at it's finest. You are changing something and you "feel" an non-existent improvement.

Assuming you're not a troll, this might help:

VTEC is on/off... having more oil flowing into the solenoid isn't going to have an effect on HP.
If you are are a troll...
Then definitely, you should immediately order a JDM VTEC Solenoid and install it (sans the mesh screen) for m4d p0w3r, y0!

Your nuts. There is no difference between "JDM" and "USDM" VTEC Solenoids, and Honda puts that little screen there for a reason. Leave your S2000 alone. It's not like your Civic.

explain to me how your human perception is far more sensitive than anyone else on the planet to even claim you can "feel" a gain of a "supposed" few horsepower.
