Default S2k v-tec problems after oilchange?

So I've read and searched the forums but I can't seem to find anyone with exactly the same problem, either that or I'm daft (insert flame here).

My S2k AP1 was in the shop for a simple oilchange. Now I dont feel the same v-tec experience when driving, its like its not there anymore or its become notecibly less. The Mechanic ran the car in his database and said that Honda recommends 0W-40 so he ordered Mobil 1 0W-40. The V-tec plug above the oilfilter has been inserted correctly and cleaned, no change. I cant get my head around whats wrong. Can it be the oil itself, i keep reading that you guys are using 10W-30 and so on. I just wanna figure out whats wrong. Please help.

Best regards

Christian
