Default S2K Spring Seat Removal

One of my shocks is bent so i ordered a full replacement set of KONI 8041 series for my 2007 s2k,
I have taken off the old front left shock and noticed it had einbochs springs instead of the oem springs,
but i cant get the spring seat off of the stock shocks to put them on the koni ones...since they dont come with them..
Here is a picture of what I cannot remove, maybe it has some weird lock mechanism? Hope someone can help!

Thanks!

You just have to put some ass behind it and knock it off, use a rubber mallet, good luck

Thats not true, it will not come off, after over hours of beating it with a hammer..i think it might be welded...

Do you think it has something to do with the rod being bent?
I have put a 2x4 on the spring seat and beat it with a sledge hammer over and over and it wont budge.
Even put wd-40 on it and no luck.

will keep trying i guess

Don't hit it at the base (the thick looking ring). I see the paint chipped off already below. You need to hit it near where it meets that ring or around the lip area.

Exactly, and use a rubber mallet not metal hammer
