Hey,
1) Take all of the trunk lining out so you can see only the bare metal
2) With soft-top closed, pour a gallon+ of water on each side down the soft top drains
3) If you see a stream of water run into the lowest point of the trunk (which I did) your drains are clogged
4) Clean the drains

thank you for the reply. i did that the other day and i pored water on both sides of the soft top and it worked but as i made my way to the trunk it was damp not really water but you can see the dry water spots, from my understanding there are two drain holes in the trunk under the lining not sure on how to clean those if you have any suggestions ? i also spoke to a friend of mine who also has a ap2 and he said drill little holes in the trunk witch i dont feel comfertable about but if i have to to stop the water i guess i dont have a choice

If you fix this properly, you do not have to drill holes in the trunk.
Follow the previous instructions, use warm-hot water with the top up. Get under the car. You should feel with your hands under the door where the drains exist out. Take a stick or zip tie or something stiffer and shove it up the hole to clear any blockage.
Secondly, pop the trunk and see if it's leaking from another spot -- for me, I had clogged drain holes (accessible from under the car), as well as water being redirected under my quarter panel into my trunk lining (accessible with the trunk interior removed). I had to remove the little bracket adjacent the trunk, clean and seal the area, and reinstall the bracket.
