s2000 transmission Shudder/clunking
So last night, a WRX pulls up next to me on a red light and out of no where started revving off his limiter or whatever just ready for launch. Long story short;it was very close.
Next red light, I couldn't get into 1st gear until I had to FORCE it very hard. 2nd, same story. It wasn't just going in "right". 3rd and 4th were easy but I felt as if the shifter wasn't going In the gates far enough.
I parked the car and to find out I couldn't even go into reverse unless it's off.
This is when things get weird...I was just wiggling the shifter around with the clutch Depressed, and I pushed it towards 1st, I Did NOT go into first, clutch completely untouched, the car starting creeping forward very slowly as if it was engaging. Super weird and same for reverse, since I couldn't enter it, just before the shifter was trying to into R it would creep backwards very slow.
Driving home, putting it into first and creeping up a little, the car starts bogging back and forth pretty harshly. At that point I'd have to restart again, Rev a little higher. When this bogging happens, sometimes you can hear CLUNKING..
When stopped, putting the into 3rd or 4th there's just a weird sound coming underneath the car.
Prior to all this, I bled the clutch fluid as it was near empty and refilled it. Recently purchased the car.
I'm not too knowledgeable on the transmission, I'm just stuck on what it could be, hoping it isn't the clutch. I've read online for hours, and most people are suggesting the CMC.
ANY help would be gravely appreciated or directions of any sort. Thank you.

If the reservoir was almost empty when you were bleeding your clutch, that sounds like there's a leak in your clutch system (master, slave, or lines). Not sure why there would be a clunking sound though. It may be something else.

A video would help. Given that this happened after some abuse I am guessing something in the clutch failed. After doing some pulls in my own car I broke a clutch spring retainer and had the same symptoms as you. Had strong clunks when the clutch/whine would engage and couldn't get the car into ANY gear when the car was on.
The problem was that the previous owner installed a shitty clutch. My bet is that the previous owner of your car did the same.
