If you want a long term project and have the funds, then why not? Sure, you can spend your money, in a wiser manner, on a running S2K, but to be honest, it sounds like a fun project. You can almost start from the ground up and build the car you want from the get go.

Restoring is my only option, sorry for the late reply, but I refuse to buy another or let it sit any longer. Any advice is appreciated.

i think you should restore it,,,whats the fun in just buying another one. thats the easy way out. imagine how much you will enjoy the car when its done and and you can document it and it will become a lifetime memory. at least that is how i see it. my car aat for 2.5 years because i was 19 and poor and had no money to buy a new engine i finally got one did the swap my self in 2.5days and i have a strong connection with my car. as long as the chassis and electrical is not in the worst condition it should be a breeze and even if it is mdessed up it should still be fairly easy to fix...make it a track car : )

It doesn't look that bad. I have seen worse. Just R and R the engine and all the fluids including the fuel. Replace the brakes and maybe the tires. Throw a new top on and probably a new battery and drive it. My advice get it to 100% before you try and boost it.

Comments can be made till we are all blue in the face. Bottom line, one obstacle at a time.

Lets all asume, no matter the cost, that we will get her up and running. So step one is fixing or finding an engine. So...define blown engine. Do you know its current status?

Please follow my advice, as I have bought back many snowballed cars, including my own accord wagon which sat for 7 years.

You will HAVE TO remove the fuel pump assy and check for the presence of fuel breakdown. Just pull the pump assy and take A pic of it. If it is coated in what looks like gunpowder, the fuel tank will need to be replaced, or boiled in kerosene. For the cost, a fuel tank can be had for cheap. I can connect you to these big parts for cheap.

This gunpowder substance will forever make its way into the injectors, and you will never enjoy a proper running car.
