Saki gt imma do the test and I'll let you know the results. Also is the heavy flywheel the reason y the ap2 feels slower n more sluggish than a ap1 . I had a ap1 before my ap2 n my ap1 was a rocket. Also would a lighter flywheel kill my torque?

The flywheel is directly connected to the engine, so a heavier flywheel means the rpm will rise and drop more slowly because of inertia. That is why the AP2 has a less "light" feel than the AP1 when you rev the engine. Going to an Ap1 flywheel isn't bad. Some people go to really light flywheels (like eight pounds) and I don't know if I'd go that light, but thats just me.

For a turbo car you really dont want a light flywheel - your rpms will drop quickly and from what I understand it might cause the boost to build much more slowly since it is dependent on engine load. Thats what I have read at least... the only turbo car I ever owned stayed stock but I had a 2001 Impreza RS that I had a light flywheel on and I absolutely LOVED it...the car was not turbocharged but it made the engine so much more rev-happy. Whenever the S needs a new clutch I am 100% getting a lw flywheel.

Ap1 flywheel is 14lb
Ap2 is 22 lb

I'd think 10 would be plenty light, but that's a personal pref thing imo. Whem my S needs a new clutch, I plan to go with an AP1 OEM flywheel and Act PP, but I'm not looking to go FI either. It will definitely change how the engine responds to throttle input, so you need to think about/ask in the FI forum whats a good combo.
