Default s2000 problem

Like usual going to work, i start my car. I first let go of my hand brake on my drive way and put it into reverse gear. After putting into gear, my car made a huge popping noise. So I put it into neutral and try to reverse and also 1st gear to get the car to move. But it did not move at all like something was caught in the car with the engine moving. Like trying to move with the hand brake on. I then put my gear back to neutral and let go of my brake. The car still did not slide down of my driveway with out being in gears, brake pressured and hand brake up. It felt like the car was being on braked on my sloped driveway. My uncle later came and turned the car on and put the car into all gears and it made a huge noise again and the car started driving again.

I was wondering what caused the problem. The gear was caught the whole time? handbrake problem? differential problem? what was going on? I was wondering if this ever happened to anyones s2k or if you guys can identify the problem. If I should take my car to the shop for inspection?

Brake pads rusted to rotors. Did you wash the car (or drive in the rain) before parking it. If it happens again, look at your rotors after it "pops." You'll see the rust imprint of a pad on the rotor.

yea the brake pads have a tendency to rust onto the rotors which causes that "pop".
