S2000 hardtop parts question
I'm buying a used OEM S2000 hardtop from a 2001 S2000 which will be installed on my 2003 S2000.
I have a few questions before I go and pick up the top.
-Defroster harness: seems like this is a different part on the 2000/2001 compared to the 2003. Is it possible to connect the defroster using the factory soft top harness on the car instead of the additional harness which I assume is so you don't have to removal panels in order to disconnect the defroster cable going to the hardtop?
-Are the front hardtop strikers required? Or can I just use the soft top strikers?
-The rear OEM brackets that hold the hardtop in place are still attached to the car. I will need to help the current owner remove them from his car. Other than the two brackets mounted to the car, do I need to take anything else ? (e.g. screws that hold the brackets in place, or can I use my existing screws on my S2000?)
Is there anything else I should be aware of and is anything else I need to remove from the current owner's car?
Thanks!

Idk about the defroster, but:
-Use hardtop strikers if you plan to use the OEM front latches. It will probably rattle anyway. But the soft top strikers will be too thin to work properly. I think honda started using hardtop style strikers on all cars from a certain year forward.
FWIW, I used solid-mounted alloycraft front brackets to make my OEM hardtop STFU.
I'd grab the hardware with the rear brackets. He won't need it anymore. They're nothing special. Just class 12.9 M6x1.00 thread JIS screws that are used like...everywhere on the car.

I used the soft top strikers for a while but got sick of the rattles. Picked up the hardtop ones and the rattles are gone.
The bolts for the rear brackets are longer and replace bolts that are already on your car. So you will want to take his bolts and give him yours.
There are brushes on the top of the interior side panels. They are held onto the panel with phillip head screws. The hardtop won't work with the softop brushes unless you cut them. So swap them too.
