Default S2000 fuel pump

I need to replace the fuel pump in my S. Is it a standard item in common with Integras and other Hondas or is it another 'S2000 only' part.

Can I buy a high volume/pressure unit for an Integra and fit it in my S?

If you want to replace it with something better, you can buy a universal inline 255lph and just put tht in there. But I dont see why you would need a better pump if your not F/I.

Thanks, shall do.

Is that a direct replacement or an inline pump?

Aus2000,

Not familiar with the S2K setup. Normally the pumps are immersed in the tank. Just make sure the replacement is submersible and its the same external dimensions. I've never tried putting two pumps is series.

Another source of motorsport pumps is Rocket Industries near eastern creek.

An alternative is to use a surge tank with a second pump. This way you can drive till the tank is empty without fuel surge. The factory pump fills the surge tank. Make sure the fuel return from the engine goes to the surge tank, with a return cascading back to the main tank. A surge tank is recommended for track use as the last thing you want is a fuel surge leaning out the engine at full noise/boost.

Rocket have nothing. I've got an account with them from when I imported the S2000 K&N filters. If it ain't a V8 they aren't interested.

Surprised to hear that. One of our competitors picked up a very slim high flow pump when his packed up at a Eastern Creek practice day. It may have helped that he had the part number on the side of it.

That might be it. But when I went to them about the K&N with the part number they denied it existed. Took me ages to convince them that just because it wasn't on their books didn't mean it didn't exist. The guy I spoke to this morning was less then interested.

I've got one coming from the US. It's a drop in replacement.
