Default S2000 ap1 seems to be running limp

Hi guys hoping someone here can shed light on this, I have a s2000 ap1 new to me currently has 28k on it when I brought it back in April it needs a replacement pre charge? In the left hand passenger wing this part looks like a very small black plastic turbo what I am told dose nothing more then pump air around the engine on start up.

Although because on this the engine warning light is on and when visiting my local garage and plugging in to diagnostic the code indicated this fault.

The problem that I am having is the car seems to be running limp and not really pulling like any other vtec I have been in such as dc2 integras, k20 civic and a b16, and b18 civic it seems to be lacking on cross over and struggling to keep up with integra dc2's as I found this evening. I love the car the car but I just cannot understand why it seems so underpowered has any found this before or can help?

if the car is running limp, I think Viagra would fix it.

I was under the impression that the air pump just helps warm the cat up when cold so it can work at full efficiency. I dont under stand how this could cause your motor to run down on power. Plenty of people remove this air system, which does cause a CEL, and have had no issues.

Bingo, the air pump is emissions related ONLY. It will not affect the power of the car in anyway. If you feel the car isn't up to snuff, try performing basic maintenance, plugs, air filter, oil, things like that. Also, if your CEL code is PO-411, it isn't the pump thats the problem, it's an error in the vacuum hose routing. If it is PO-410 then it's the pump, but again, neither would affect the power of the car.

I think this guy is a troll. Over the past few months i keep seeing these same type of posts popping up. Along the lines of "Hey my vtec isnt banging hard pulling like a mofo. Why is it so weak? Why is my car slow?" etc. Always a new user with <10 posts.
