Default s...sounds like a sti?

hello fellow s2000 people! i know this is my first post on here but i am farely new to the 2000 scene and wanted to ask the professions out there! what makes an s2000 sound like an sti? got in the car today and pulled out from a stop sign very casually and all of a sudden it sounds like a beefed up subaru??? im worried what yall are gonna say but just give me the truth lol any suggestions would be greatly appreciated before i tear into this thing blinded! thanks guys and gals

a misfire in one cylinder will do that , sounds exactly like that. The car must have been running poorly though, not just sounding differently. One or more bad coils could do it, or a bad injector, might as well check your sparkplugs while you are in there.

well the car is turboed would that make any difference? the car is running like crap as well, hard to pull out, entire car shakes...etc?

Misfires do sound like a boxer engine. On stock ecu or no? If yes any cel's?
I wouldn't drive it anywhere until you figure it out. Doesn't sound good though.

yes that killer deal is kicking me right in the ass right about now

its tuned on aem/ems series 1 so the cel's are out of the question

i was "told" it was a stage 3 clutch but could not tell you what brand...it feels like a stage clutch and i have never had any slippage problems out of it...

If you can put oem injectors and ecu back in to see if there is a cel or something.
