Default rx7 rear or kaaz and comptech on my s2000 turbo

I've read about this on this site before and I am wondering if anyone has any insight on this topic. I have a shop that builds race cars and would have no problem doing a custom job and putting the rx7 rear on my car. Now the only thing that would stop me from doing this modification is something I heard about a forced induction s2000 breaking first gear. Is this a very rare case or is this a common occurance after reinforcing the rear and axels?

It isn't something that I have heard happening. If they do put a RX-7 rear end in your car please document all the parts/modifications needed, cost, HP to rear wheels, gearing(4.44???), any other things.

Basically document the process. There might be others wanting to do just the same thing.

It's better to go with the KAAZ unit. RX-7 rear ends are known to be somewhat weak, and most high-horsepower RX-7s have the KAAZ equipped.

What model year was this car? I've heard that pre 02 models were the ones suffering from drive train problems. I guess what i'm trying to get at is that after dumping money into my rear ,axels and getting a nice set of sticky tires, am I going to be left with a transmition problem with no solution.

It was a 2001 from St Andre's automotive (out of business now?), We did the new trans in it, no warranty.

I don't think the '02+ diff is any different from the '00-'01 diffs, but I am sure that the diff is going to be the weak link in any S2000. The only "common" tranny failures I've heard of were lubrication related. The oil pump pickup is known to pull air under certain conditions. I don't think it is a power issue.
