Default Running hot ?

HI all had the water pump changed last year on the car just before it went into hibernation, went out for a blast last night and it seems to be running hotter than I remember, the gauge is running a coupe of lights off half way, The car is an 07 all stock apart from one of the big ass K&N induction filters that i put in about 6 years ago ( i did clean the filters last year with the K&N cleaning kit ) . I may just be a little paranoid but no harm in asking

Has anyone got any photos of what their s2k temp gauge looks like on an 07 AP1 ? ( in normal running conditions )

Thanks
chris

These cars are very finicky about air in the system. If you change something in the cooling system it's good to bleed the system of air to ensure the cooling system works as intended.

At operating temperature with the car idling the heater should blow HOT, almost scalding your fingers hot. If the heater is kind of warm and gets hotter when you put load on the car, you still have a little bleeding to do.

I recall 8-bars being the normal indication for the water temp with the "AP2" cluster.
