Default Running 06+ wideband in 05?

Hello,

I posted this in the engine management forum and only got one reply so I thought I'd try here.

I'm looking at adding either the Haltech PnP or AEM V2 (leaning towards the Haltech) and want to know what my options are for installing wideband O2 on my 2005.

My understanding is that the 06+ cars come with factory wideband, as do certain year RSXes. I really dont want to deal with wiring an aftermarket unit like the AEM UEGO. A huge part of why the haltech and aem units are attractive to me is their integration with factory sensors. I suspect that the stock 06 wideband at least plugs into the 05 harness.

1. Can I replace the original primary O2 sensor with an 06+ and plug it into the factory harness?

2. Is this configurable on the Haltech and AEM units?

I know the 06+ wideband might not be *quite* as accurate as an aftermarket unit but I'll settle for something reasonably effective if it means I can keep everything as factory/easy to install/uninstall as possible.

Thanks!

IMO just install an aftermarket wideband. took me no time at all to install my innovative. one wire to the Haltech then power and ground to the gauge. Plus if your going to be running a custom tune your going to want a gauge to keep an eye on things.
