Default rubbing issues with 18's and espelir springs

like the title say.. i'm rubbing in the back end over dips in the road and on conering.. i have nitto 555 245/40/18 on the back with espelir springs on.... there is a lot of travel it feels like in the shocks... i ha 225/40/18s on before with no problems... the springs have been on about 3 months.... what can i do about this? can i be fix by getting shocks with less travel? if so, what are good ones for that.. i don't care about ride qaulity... thanks for the help

Koni Yellows have always been a good choice for aftermarket shocks

you need to roll the fenders, this is a very common issue, be sure to use a heat gun or you will crack your paint ( like I did) there are roller tools or some use a baseball bat!ttt

you need to run a 40 series on the rear, i have the 18 ce28n with 245, 40 18 no problem, i have the same spring as well. I had the 45 series tire before and it rubbed.

i do have 245/40/18.....

by rolling the fender you mean heating up the black strip that goes around the wheel well and thinning it out?

will replacing the shocks do the trick though?

I'm running 265/35 18s on the rear with Eibach springs. I did have to roll the rear quarter lip and cut a section of the rear bumper. After that I don't rub at all any more.

i'm going to try to roll them today..... it looks like i can just heat up the inside lip and slowly bend them up...this should take care of my problem.... and other suggestions would be appreciated.

bring it to a place where they have a fender rolling tool, don't try to bend it yourself, you either chip the paint or you may bended the arear you don't like, leave it to a pro, most bmw shop will have that tools, thoes euro likes there car lowered.
