They really seem disinterested in anything that has to do with the S2000.

I don't really know much about the RSX-S, but I don't think it has a 9K redline, does it? If it doesn't, then the Hondata version may not have fuel and timing maps up that high.

Hondata has the ability to raise the redline. On the 265whp K20 that was built, the redline is 9,000.

Forgive my ignorance, but is the RSX an OBDI or II?

I knew that, I just didn't know what year model the RSX is. I have never paid attention to it.

The main reason I was wondering is that on the Junk Yard Turbo list some of the guys have been converting to OBDI and swapping ecus. Unfortunately, all of them so far have required a distributor and the S doesn't even have a provision for one.

I had hoped it might be OBDI and didn't have a distributor which would make the swap possible.

The ECU doesn't learn that quickly. It usually takes a couple of weeks I believe. You must consider that most dynos are done immediately after resetting the ECU, so it doesn't have a chance to learn.

I think what I'm saying it the statement that the ECU is the cause of the lower numbers than on the RSX for the same mods is faulty. The RSX ECU probably learns as well. For example, say you install a CAI on the RSX and reset the ECU then dyno it. Lets say you get 10hp. You do the same on the S2000, and you only gain 5hp. Its not cause of the ECU, its because either the design of the intake on the S2000 is inferior or the S2000 just doesn't respond to mods as well.

So to sum it up: The ECU is not the problem.
