You said 2 "different" fluids. He thought you said 2 "differential" fluids. When I reread your post I saw "diferential" too. My old eyes are playing tricks on me.

Damn, you brought this one back from the dead. LOL. Anyway, adding to this thread; I'm using the same stuff, GM friction modified and the 1-2 cold shifts were smooth as butter for the first 2-3k miles, but it's back now. It's not as bad as Honda MTF though for sure - still wish I could get rid of the problem for good though..

That's the right number, Rat.

I just switched to Royal Purple Synchromax and I'm liking it. Only about 140 miles on it this weekend, but .

And my flame suit is on.

On the subject of GM Synchromesh FM, I picked up 2 bottles of it this past weekend at the local Buick/Chev dealer. Instead of the black bottles with the blue stickers, I got very plain looking WHITE bottles which had the GM insignia, and said Sychromesh Fluid. However, nowhere do the words "Friction Modified" appear anywhere. The part #12377916 is clearly marked on the front. I'm going to check the bottle exactly right now to ensure all these details are right. Anyone bought bottles that look as described above?

The bottles I have are all black and is clearly marked friction modified on the front. Unless they re-designed the bottles, I think you were given the wrong stuff...

The correct bottle does have friction modified on the front label.
