- I didn't get too worried though...

Happens to me every now and then also. It happens A LOT when I first start my car when the engine is already warmed up and doesn't automatically rev higher as when it's cold. After that it's usually fine.... Anyone else have this?

Amazing... our car achieves such a high rpm where other engines would choke to death... but on the opposite end of the rpm band at a mere idle our engines are on the verge of dying and chokes itself to survive. WEEEIRD! Oh the irony...

Just wanted to update.
I adjusted my throttle cable to cut the slack in it about 2-3 months ago. Since then at just about EVERY startup when the engine is already warm my car would get the nasty shake and dip way under 1k rpms. But after that it would be fine. Only occassionally it would dip under and give me the shake when stopped.
I just reset my ECU and gave the map sensor about 10 wacks with a screwdriver... then I went for a drive to drop something off somewhere. I was DISAPPOINTED with the outcome. The freakin car started dipping way under 1k rpms every chance I was idling. Everytime any throttle was given in neutral whether the car was moving or not it would dip with only 1 or 2 bars on the tach, and then idle back normal. And while it did this it would give me that nasty shake. Boy I was real upset!
BUT after awhile I reached my destination, and then when I hopped back in and drove back to my apartment.. NOT 1 SINGLE low dip and no engine shakes. NONE! I think the car needs to get used to everything and the environment before it finally settles itself at the right settings. Now when I startup I don't get the shakes I previously got before doing this.
I definitely suggest everyone give this a try if you have any single problem with the engine dipping in low rpms at idle and shaking. If it acts kind of weird at first, just be patient. It SHOULD settle itself out. Goodluck
