RPMS drop at idle, car stalls
#61
I'm having this issue as well. Only when the car is warm though. When cold, the idle is higher and smooth. When warm, it will bounce up and down in RPM and eventually stall. This is intermittent though. I have Greddy eManage and am running a tune. Have cleaned IACV and reset ecu but problem persists. Will try spark plugs next, since they are 4 years old, but only about 40k miles old.

This issue started aggressively affecting my car. I've got an '03 with 119k miles.
It also doesn't seem to affect the car on the first short drive of the day. But after the car has any heat in it, it happens just about every single time the car idles after driving a little bit. Say I'm driving along, I'm in gear at 3500 RPM, then I shift to neutral. The RPMs will drop to something like 1100-1800 and just hang there for a couple seconds. Literally a couple seconds. After a couple seconds it'll just drop dead and stall, or it'll drop to 1000RPM and then stall.
Tomorrow I'm going to try all of the usual things: clean IAC, clean TB, oil change, change spark plugs, clean K&N FIPK and air filter. Some of that stuff may be related, some of that just needs to be done.

AP1 2003 - Dies when stops and idle
Hi, my AP1 started dying at every stop and idle when cold. If I hit VTEC a couple of times then she stops doing it, and idles 800-1000 rpms.
Here are some vids of it:

Any hints on where yo start looking?
Best Regards,
Jerry
