I'm interested in watching this thread to see what the problem is, because I was having the EXACT same issues today after swapping out the AEM EMS for the stock ECU. Same dip in idle and everything. Never stalled completely out, but it came close.

Another user on here suggested it might be the fact that my ECU didn't have time to "learn" once I switched it back in, so I reset the ECU and then let the car idle for about 15mins. I then went on a test drive, varying up my driving style, and it seems to have smoothed out a lot, except for when I hit VTEC for some reason. It's kind of a rough transition. Other than that though, it's doing much better.

Then again, we'll see how it behaves after a couple days go by. So I'm definitely interested in seeing what works for you.

so, I disconnected the battery, and let it sit for about 40 minutes, then reconnected it, let the car idle for about 10-12 minutes, then drove it for about 15 minutes. The idle problems seems to be fine now . . . I did not take the car up to v-tech though, I'm gonna take it for another drive later, climb up over 6k rpms, and see what happens, then I will post up again

I torqued the plugs to 21 ft/lbs to make sure they stay tight

Car seems to be running much better now. Idles somewhere between 600-1000 rpms, but just settles at one of these, it doesn't fluctuate, or bog out.

I still think I'm going to get a valve adjustment, as the car as 98k miles on it

ok . . . so it's still happening . . . but only if I accelerate hard, or go up around 5500rpms or more

what could be causing that?

I never removed the throttle body or adjusted the throttle cable

and if it was overtightened, wouldn't your RPM's rise when at idle?

Any other thoughts besides getting a valve adjustment? Injectors? something wrong with the throttle body?

Same problem here but I have never stalled. I thought it was just normal until I read this. I noticed that when I changed my plugs a while back that it helped, but after a while it came back.
