RPM's at 60mph
I was reading another thread today and the topic was about gears and gear whine.(sometimes) Anyway I'm new to the S2k family and have a question, I just picked up a 06 AP2 on Monday, and noticed today that a 60mph I am turning 3300 rpms and did/have noticed a small amout of geat whine in the lower gears. Does that sound about right or could I have actually gotten lucky and pick up one with lower gearing?
I came out of an 06 Miata w/ 4.10 final gearing from the factory, so spinning higher rpm's at highway speed is really of no concern to me, I am just curious.
Thanks for any input!
cheers!

I think that sounds normal if you search around a bit in here you can find a gear calculator that will tell you exactly what you should rev at for what ever speed your going in whatever gear your using hope that helps

3300 RPM, 4000, whatever...it's still too high for my taste on trips over an hour. it's a loud, extended drone and probably the only thing i really dislike about my S2000. everything else is great!
