RPM Problem

RPM Problem
So its been happening 2-3 weeks after I got my Cold Air intake.
The RPM goes up and down constantly and when I try to drive on it the car jumps ( I mean jumps as in it feels like the car is accelerating than all of a sudden a hard brake )
I got it to stop after turning the engine on and off a few times but this morning I couldn't even go to work because my car just would not stop doing that. Any ideas why my RPM is just jumping back and forth? It sounds like I'm reving the car over and over and over and over when its on neutral.
Someone help me out!

Don't we have a mass airflow or pressure sensor (MAF or MAP) on the intake? You might have messed with the connection, messed up your sensor (e.g. with too much oil on an oiled air filter), or have a leaky CAI connection.

check your connections...are all the stock hoses connected to something? are they connected to the right place? are the connections nice and air-tight? are the hoses leaky (cracked?)

I think I figured it out ..
There was a hose right below the CAI that leaked some type of fluid I think it was coolant I just went to autozone and picked up 2 feet of another hose and a pack of 4 clamps that will hold it tight and replaced it and no more Rev jumps and jerky car movements as of yet.
What I'm worried about is the rubber tube getting too hot and expanding and exploding or something. I'm not sure if the black rubber tube I bought from autozone can handle hot coolant running through it. Any ideas?
