Rpm
Here's my issue, I have a 2000 S2000 which the Rpm will drop below 1000 and sounds like its going to stall. I live in Arizona and this seems to happen more often when its hotter outside. I'll have the car in neutral and push the gas untill 2000 Rpm, When I let off the Rpm will drop to about 500 for a few seconds and almost stall. Any ideas of what could be causing this problem? Thanks

Rough/insufficient revs at idle can be caused by a number of things and will be exacerbated when your heater or airconditioner is on.
I found my car's idle ran a bit crap when it was time for a valve adjustment. This is done every 40,000kms, however from experience and because i drive my car hard i'd probably do it every 25-30,000. How long till your next service? how many km's is the car on? Are the spark plugs due to be changed??
The problem will be made worse when its hot due to heatsoak - are you using the OEM airbox or a aftermarket filter?
Another thing could be fuel - what fuel are you using? I find a premium 95 RON fuel works best. Maybe change petrol stations for a few fill up's and see how it goes. I had to change my local petrol station as one particular shell whenever I filled up the car ran like crap and was pulling CEL's for secondary O2 sensor, which i replaced yet still got the CEL's. I changed petrol stations and now its fine.
Your clutch perhaps could be dragging causing extra resistance at idle - what are your gear changes like atm?
try the MAP sensor whack, there are plenty of threads on this.
You could try resetting the ECU
Finally, clean the IAC valve. Very easily done with a rag and carby cleaner, all you have to do is take off one hoseclamp and get rid of all the gunk.

Don't Rev up the motor while in neutral, allow the ECU to compensate for the excessive heat (not in your case, but in others.. moisture). It will learn, adapt and correct itself.
Your car should idle at 850 rpm +-10% IIRC
Resetting the ECU will just force it to do it all over again and it won't help.
** Cleaning out the IAC will help, there are a few threads on how to, it's easy to do.

Looks like cleaning out the IAC is the popular fix. I'll try this thanks.
To answer above questions the car has 68000 miles and just had a new cylinder head kit put on ( cams, plugs, etc...) from the dealership. I do have an short air intake with K&N filter. And I always use premiem gas.
This problem is worst in neutral but happenes when i come to a stop also. Thanks again

i had a similar issue which was caused by valve clearances being out of whack. Your on 68,000 miles which is about 108,000kms. Your valve clearances will be coming up soon on 120,000. If your car is running a bit rough in the upper rev range and you feel like its lost a bit of power; take it in for an early valve clearance adjustment. The valve clearance adjustment is the best tune up you can do on an s2k. AFter its done the engine sounds different and runs smooth as silk when your cruising sitting on 4k or 5k on acceleration and deceleration, you get more power and the engine runs so damn hard and smooth right up to 9k.
