rough idle only when a/c is on
Ive noticed that when my ac is on in my ap1 the idle drops really low and is rough was wondering if anyone else had the same issue and what they did to fix it or do i just have to live with it? I also noticed when there is a load on the engine. Headlights, putting top down etc....the car only has CAI with 96k!

+1. Same problem here. Return-to-idle is bad on my '00 only with A/C running. Car bogs below idle and then returns to normal. Happens when stepping on clutch, revving engine, etc, with a/c running. With A/C off the car does not bog whatsoever.
I have:
1. Performed idle re-learn procedure, no change
2. Replaced most vac lines, found some were a bit worn
3. Replaced air filter, old one was pretty gungy
4. Replaced PCV valve and tube, old one was still rattly but maybe overly rattly
5. Cleaned IAC valve with carb cleaner, unsatisfying as the moving parts cannot really be accessed or exercised
6. Replaced IAC valve and lines
7. Performed A/C signal circuit troubleshooting, looks good
Next steps: IAT (air temp) sensor?
Any ideas/hints?
Update: Performed A/C signal circuit troubleshooting procedure which resulted in all normal. Upshot is if your A/C works at all, that circuit is good And you can tell real fast by pulling the a/c pressure sensor electrical connector, cause the A/C doesn't work with it pulled.
@Supra-holic -- to be clear about the clutch thing, I believe it's only because the revs fall to idle when stepping on the clutch that the problem tends to occur then.
I read some folks bitching about similar problem with Civics -- in some places the consensus is that this can be due to a dying A/C compressor.

Clean your throttle plate and check your valve clearances, adjust if needed. Map wack? If those don't help, try compression test.
That is weird that it bogs when on the clutch, that is a symptom of crank walk?
