Bosch +4's are deff. the WORST plugs I have used in my life on any car. The moment I got them, my old car started developing misfires. Changed it over to copper core 2dollar plugs and it went away. NEVER will buy bosch plugs again, after that terrible experience. It also fouled up in a week to the point where it was BLACk, BLACK.

NGK copper core has always done right by me, but in my s2k I'm running the OEM spec'd plugs.

might want to do a compression test for all ur cylinders... the tips of sparkplugs might have fell in and could have damaged walls, rings etc... just a thought.

Just did a compression test, results came back:
1:270
2:255
3:255
4:260

It is a little lower in cylinders 2 and 3, dont know if this is related to what has happened or not but they are decently close so i dont think i have anything to worry about there.

I am still wondering about the coil packs. If you look at the pics in my origial post they looked real bad but i cleaned them as you can see in the last picture.

They seem to be running fine, i feel like they just got dirtied up and discolored form the loose plugs. Bottom line, do you think i need to replace them?

Thanks

if they're mis-firing you;d deffinately feel it on a 4cyl engine, specially under load. If they;re not misfiring, I dont see why you would have to - just might give out eventually due to the damage.

very true, i work at a parts store and i never would sell this to my worse enemy

they do not dissipate heat very well so the heat range is unpredictable

stick with NGK

I dont think i need to replace them. They're runnin fine i think theyre just discolored.

Im just wondering, is there a replacement interval for them? like at 100K miles or something like that because if there is i might just swap them now

Thanks

The problem is they are pretty damaged, they'll cause problems later.

How do you know theyre damaged though? I know they dont look the best but theres no cracks in them or anything like that and the connector in the coil pack looks fine
