Haha, Well it so happens that I live in salt lake city. I didn't have a rubber mallot so I took some old rubber floor mats and shielded the rotors with them before whacking them. I tried pushing the bolts through the hat and they broke loose fairly easily after working each side a little and giving it a light tap with a hammer. Thanks for everyone's help.

There is only one hammer you should be using for this purpose. It is called a "dead blow hammer." Learn it, know it, buy it.
You aren't going to warp a steel rotor by hitting it with a two pound dead blow hammer. So just whack away and those rusted rotors will break free.
