for the time being before you buy new strikers, if its getting on your nerves that much, you can just wrap some electical tape around the hook of the striker and it should stop your wind noise.

I only get wind noise over 100 mph

rarely do that so it's not an issue.....

It might be... it is air speed that counts. 70 mph into a 40 mph wind get plenty of air flow.

I had a similar problem with wind noise from my top. What fixed mine was a couple pieces of vacumm hose over the hooks. Gave it just enough to tighened the top down. Seemed to worked well. Cost me 0$.
