Default Roof Latch Tightening

I've been experiencing a lot of wind noise on the passenger side of my S2K. It goes away when I pull down on the convertible top, so to me, that's an obvious sign of the roof latch not providing enough tension. Does anyone have experience in how to tighten the roof latch in order to provide a better seal?

Thanks in advance!

theres a thread here that shows how to modify the stricker plate to make it hold tighter. i think hafler made the thread? anywho, you could always buy vacuum nipples and put them on the catch peice for the latch, it helps create more tension when latching. i did this and seems to work ok. the striker plate mod to me looks like it works better.

good luck! wind noise and creaks are very annoying, but they come with a vert

I was having the same problem with mine. I was going to shim the latches but found all 4 screws that hold the latches on were loose. I tightened them up and no more wind noise.

You can also replace the strikers with hard top strikers. It takes less than 15 minutes to swap out.

I have also found that there is more wind noise if the gaskets are drying... a few treatments with silicone lube may help.
