Default roof hinge broke

so the little plastic piece that you press to get the roof latch to release broke off today and now its stuck without the roof being locked on that side, any idea on how to get it unlatched? now it whistles if i drive it anywhere and it drives me insane

Sounds like it IS unlatched (hence the air leakage). Do you want to latch it? If so, you likely need a new latch.

You can unbolt it I believe. Just two Phillips. You may not be able to see them though. You're looking at serious money to replace them

if its the latch--they're about $121 each side new---

numbers 60 amd 61---

you might be able to find a used one--try posting in the classifieds for one

not exactly sure how to get the broken one open--my car is in storage for the winter so I can't look at it---maybe you can stick a small screwdriver into the side of it where the broken piece was to press in on the release
