Default Rolling forward s2k Odometer reading

Hi guys,

I have a question, If a cluster was swapped and has lower miles than actuality and I wanted to increase the new clusters reading to the previous would the best way be to purchase a yellow box? Or go to a Honda Dealer?

If it's a yellow box how would I get one that rolls forward and is a 30,000 mile discrepancy doable with a yellow box? Where would I get one?

Thank you.

The only thing you could do with a YB is max it out, you will still need to drive many miles.

I'm pretty sure the only thing the dealer can do is "brick" the cluster odometer making it inoperable, I don't think they can change the mileage.

If you're good with electronics and can figure out how the VSS works and pulses, you could probably set up a way to fool the speedo and add a couple of thousand miles on a test bench.

Good luck.

Just document the change and move on IMHO.

replace the eprom in the cluster. not an easy job. I'd avoid it.

Thanks for all the replies guys much appreciated, it sounds like a difficult course of action even with a YB, i'm going to go ahead and call my honda dealer to double check to see what they can do, otherwise i'll document the odometer miss match for future reference.
