Default Roll hoop cover re installation

My roll hoop cover has become seperated. I noticed some glue like substance between the two pieces.

My questions are-

Did Honda glue the two pieces together originally?
If it is glue or a two-part epoxy, does Honda sell the glue?
What is a good substitute for the glue?
Were there any clips used that may be broken on mine?

I tried to re-glue the pieces together with less than stellar results.

Thanks in advance for the help.

They are heat welded together. In the side with the groove there is a wire running around it. You need to pull this wire out and clean up the groove and also the tongue on the other piece.

I spent a while cleaning mine up then glued it with Araldite (two part epoxy). I held it together with gaffer tape pulled tight so it applied pressure.

It's been back on the car for about 2 weeks now and is fine.
