Hi guys my name Zach and this is my first post! I have owned my s2000 since late september! I noticed a few months back that the drivers side of my car sits higher than the passengers side! My dad is a mechanic by trade so he had a look for me. He took the rear shock of and found that it was slightly twisted as was the spring so we prosumed this was what was causing the car to sit higher on the drivers side! Well i have had both the rear shocks replace with second hand ones and the car is still sitting exacly the same as before! The drivers side rear is sittting approx 20mm higher than the passengers rear and the drivers front is sitting approx 10mm higher than the passenger front! We have checked and there are no spacers left on the shocks. The geometry is all correct as i had this done a few weeks back, has anyone else had this issue? Thankyou in advance for your replies.

iirc all S2k's sit higher on the driver's side (when there's no driver sitting it). To compensate for the driver's weight.

I have never heard that before. Looking at other s2000 they dont appear to sit as high as mine on the drivers side without anyone in the car as mine and 20mm difference on drivers side seems abit excessive to compensate for the weight of the driver.

i had this problem with my first s2000.. however it was the other way around, the drivers side was lower than the passenger side..

i took it to numerous places, they all told me it was natural wear, and to fix it i would be better off investing in some adjustable coilovers..

i never got around to that, i ended up selling the car.

my second s2000 (01 model) now sits perfect on either side..

my driver side sits lower. i found out thaat my car has 1 aftermarket spring on the driverside. weird. i bought it like that

I read that somewhere a long time ago but I don't remember if the source was reliable.

Maybe the rubber spring spacers haven't been removed on one side?

Does the car have OEM springs? or aftermarket lowering springs?

The car has original shocks and springs. Me and my dad have looked and there are no rubber spacers left on!

When you say approximately 20mm, have you measured, or just eyeing it?

FWIW, I get my car aligned with me sitting in it, but alignment shouldnt have much to do with ride height. (not talking corner balancing).
