rick's oil drain valve
i just got mine today. i haven't installed it yet but i did try to open it by pulling the tab and rotating it counter-clock wise 90 degrees. for some reason, i can't rotate it. i can pull the tab but just can't rotate. is it really hard to open this thing? i mean it's suppose to be an easy pull and twist action for an oil change. i hope i didn't get a defective drain valve.
anyone else have this problem?

Yeah, it was pretty tough, but it is well built enough that I definitely wasn't worried about breaking it. The hardest part is getting it started the first time. After that I didn't find it as hard to open, but it's still requires some force to open. I like that because it makes it even less likely to open accidentally.

i put some force into it and was able to turn it. after the initial turn, the rest are easy. just waiting 'til 10k to do oil change... then whoaaaaa!!! then chaning oil will be a breeze.
