I also have race ramps. Have not touched my trusty Rhino ramps since I got them. They are truly the ultimate ramp.

Drive a lowered ap2 right on with no blocker help. Then remove the back section for clear under car access.

I have these ramps. I have used them for years (decades) on other cars. Plenty of room for oil changes, etc.

My stock suspension AP2 with front lip needs helper blocks to drive up. Once on the ramp they are very stable like Billman says (you mentioned possibility of jacking car then placing blocks under wheels. Be very wary of that. I don't think that would be very stable. I actually tried that once on the S, car rolled off block due to slight pitch in garage floor. No damage, to me or car, but very scary).

I am not able to get a jack under the diff once front is on ramps. If I need to get all 4 corners of S off the ground, I use 4 jack stands. If I just want one end up, and wheels don't need to come off, I find ramps are easier.

If you get a low profile jack you will be fine. The first few pumps from the back (insert innuendo here) will be very short, but after about 10 or so you'll be able to use nice even strokes to get the car up the rest of the way. Good luck, have fun!

I have used rhino ramps for my stock ap2 for years. my concern is that they move about on my concrete garage floor and i did not know about the block addition till now. the rubber has come off one and the other one is cracked now and i am discarding them.
