Default Rev limiter..

I have had my 03 for about 2 years and it has 38k miles on it. I have bounced off rev limiter twice in that time.

I have learned to drive the car better since then....what problems does bouncing cause.......

If it was a mis-downshift.. It can be as bad as banging a valve and needing a new engine. If your running the car to red line and the rev limiter then there shouldn't be a problem at all. That is what the fuel cutoff is there for. Just don't do it every day.. :-p

Rev limiter is there for a reason, to protect your engine. I wouldn't bounce off it all day long, but I wouldn't be concerned if I hit it by accident once in a while either.
