Put a boost gauge on it to find out if the you have a boost loss. All centrifugal SC's make more boost as the engine RPM increases. More revs, more power.

I notice the 100 extra whp.

I've had my Comptech S/C and aftercooler for about two months now. When I took it out for the first time, my reaction was a bit like your's. The problem is that the power delivery is very smooth (if you want to call that a problem ) My advice is to go drive a N/A S2000 now...You will notice the difference. I sure did

or race a N/A S and see the results. Youll start pulling away in 3rd gear.

Maybe your clutch is slipping. My stock clutch would slip at 7500RPM'S

I was making 5.4 with the stock pulley. A 4 inch will give you 8lbs.

Like others have said, power isn't really detectable by the butt dyno. It's when you notice the cars int he rear view mirror shrinking rapidly that you know some thing is happening.

And then sometimes it will catch you by surprise. I might be engine braking to a traffic light and revving about 4-5k in 2nd and the light goes green. I stomp the go pedal too hard and all hell breaks loose. The reason is that the SC is pumping quite a bit of air, but venting it. When you open the throttle this air goes straight into the engine and the torque is amazing. Proceed with caution.

Thanks jetguy, but as AzNxKuKu has already made the decision to go forced induction it is really just '$1000 more expense'.

I've seen dyno numbers for turbo kits and both the vortech and comptech SC the turbo puts out much more torque and about 30 more HP. I've also seen time slips from a SC S2000 and everything I've seen doesn't show to much of an increase in times for a quarter mile. S2000's were made for road racing to begin with and thats mainly what the supercharger is for, to have immediate boost coming out of corners. If you were looking for the omph when you slam on the gas should of gone turbo. My kit should be in within the next week. Once I get it put on I'll post about it.
